Yesterday I raced home from work so I could ride my bike to Lori's house to pick up E. I made it to the house by 4:30 and was on my bike by 4:35. I gave myself 25 minutes to get there, but it only took 10. It was a fairly nice ride - more uphill than I had expected.
When I got to Lori's all the kids asked where my car was. "Did it break down? Where is it? Why did you ride your bike? Why don't you have training wheels? Did you know it's dangerous to ride on the road?" Things like that... nonstop.
E and I stopped by the Jones' house on the way back to see how things were going. Kit wasn't there. She was at a her half-brother's funeral in Chicago. Dave and I talked for a while. Things seem to be going well with them. They tried out Olivet UMC last weekend and seemed to like it.
When E and I went to bed last night she had trouble keeping her head down. I had to tell her to put her head down multiple times. I shouldn't laugh, but one time she was "fixing" the sheet and I told her to put her head down, she put her head down with her butt in the air and continued to fix the sheet. She's a tricky little bugger.

Well I care! It is nice to read about your life and feelings. I'll bet that you are jealous that I will have Ella for 5 days ... I know that we are looking forward to that! I wish you could come with them, though!
Uncle Scott is at a car show today so I am at loose ends ... I am going walking with a friend today and, after doing some home maintenance (housecleaning) I am going to kick back and relax this afternoon ... I am thinking about making a salad and some appetizers for our lunch and then we plan to sit on the deck and talk (if it doesn't rain, which it has for the last week!)
One question ... how did you get Ella home when you biked there?
Love you muchly ...
A. Annie
To clear up any questions people may have about how I got her home... I have a baby seat attached to the back.
